Mr. Willie Ronald Thompson, AKA “Willie Rome” was born to the late Willie and Rebecca Thompson on May 20 th , 1963, Lake View, SC. He departed this earthly life on October 13 th , 2022, at his residence. Willie graduated from Lake View High School in 1981. He was employed by Carpostan Industries and Pillard Industries for many years. Willie was later employed at Johnson Controls until his health declined. Willie was baptized at a young age and joined Zion Hill AME Church. He later joined Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a member of the male chorus for many years. Willie then afterwards joined Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and served as an usher. Willie was preceded in death a long with his parents, his sister Nancy Ann Thompson and brother Grady J. Thompson. Willie leaves to cherish his found and loving memories one daughter: Cecily Ford of Lake View, SC; two sons: Fielding Ford of Lake View; Terrance Ford of Lake View, SC; two sisters: Ethel Thompson of Lake View, SC; Daisy (Duane) Yarborough of Indian Trail, NC; Three brothers: Billy (Vivian) Thompson of Marion SC; Roy Thompson of High Point NC; Kenneth (Constance) Thompson of Wingate, NC; One sister-in-law: Carrie W. Thompson of High Point NC; Six grandchildren: Tracly Ford; Tommy Caulder; Dasha Ford; Ja’Correus Ford; Da’Correus Ford; Taqual McCants; Three great grandchildren: Ra’Niah Ford; Rhyson Ford; Messiah Ford: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; very close friends: Walter Page, Willie Gilchrist, Dec. Henry Brown, Michael Page, Kim Olige, Lawrence Brunson, Woody Carmichael and a very special friend.
