Mother Maxine Lawerence German, affectionately known as “Baby Girl,” was the daughter of the late Albert and Ella Corriane Townsend Lawerence was born in Hamer, South Carolina on April 19, 1942 and departed her life on Monday, May 11, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
Maxine attended the public schools in Dillon County, South Carolina and Syracuse, New York. She was a member of the New Holly Church. She was an employee of Upstate Medical Center and retired from the VA Hospital in Syracuse, New York. She also was a retiree from Image Carpet in Dillon, South Carolina. Her favorite hobbies were crocheting, working in her yard, knitting and just relaxing on her porch.
Maxine was loving devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband: Isiah Yancey German, one son, grandson, and three great grandsons.
Baby Girl leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories ~ five daughters: Linda German of Syracuse, NY, Patricia Clark of Greensboro, NC, Martha German of Dillon, SC, Olymphia (Lloyd) Smart of Bahian, Francine Gillard of Hopkins, SC; two sons: Curtis (Dee) German and Johnny (Lucinda) German both of Syracuse , NY; a loving sister: Alice Kinney of Dillon, SC; daughter-n-law: Teresa German of Spring Lake, NC; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren; god-children: Jeanette Mae Weather, Lillian Lawerence, Willie Lawerence and Brenda Robinson all of Syracuse, NY, Joyce (Donnie) Davis of Quincy, FL, Katherine Alford, Hilda Wright, Darlene (James) Murphy and Sharon (Jimmy) Edge, Robert (Gloria) German all of Dillon, SC; special friends: John Alford and Ruth Friday both of Dillon, SC and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
