Mrs. Sharyn Valencia (Carson) Walker passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Walker will be Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Mt. Seal United Methodist Church, located at 5134 Hemingway Hwy Hemingway, SC 29544. Officiant Rev. Cynthia B. Williams. Presiding Rev. Norma Bartelle.
Burial will follow in Mt. Seal United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Sharyn Valencia (Carson) Walker was born on February 20, 1955, in Charleston, South Carolina. She was raised by her mother, Kathryn Scott, and spent her younger years with her mother and siblings in Charleston. As a young woman, she enjoyed drawing and singing – both of which she continued to enjoy until her passing. Sharyn was widely known in every area she live in during her lifetime, from Charleston, to Pleasant Hill, to Hemingway. She took great pride in her community involvement – working several jobs, singing in the church choir, and checking on the elderly. If you ever stepped foot in Scott’s BBQ or attended a funeral in the area, Sharyn was likely there to greet you! She was truly proud of and loved God, her family, and community!! Sharyn entered eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Fludd and Kathryn Scott. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ronnie Moore (Teresa), Jeremy Walker, Billy Walker, Jr. (Ashley), and Monique Walker, her grandchildren, Jada, Jasmine, Jawan, Marquis, Maliq, Chandler, Makai, and Celia; one great grandchild, Amir; a host of sibling, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
