Patricia Ann Gillespie, affectionately known as "Bird" or "Nana" was born on November
29, 1960, to the late Mary Maggieline Jones in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Patricia answered his
call on November 4, 2022, at her residence in Dillon, South Carolina. She was a graduated of
Dillon High School class of 1980.
Bird" loved everyone and never met a stranger. She loved church, cooking, cleaning, singing,
shopping, and having a good time with family and friends. She attended Tabernacle of God
Church in Dillon, South Carolina. She did a lot of housekeeping and community services for
many years. She was the neighborhood "mama" everywhere she went and welcomed anybody in
her home. When she met your child, she made them as one of her own and didn't won't to give
them back. Bird loved her dog Scooby. Scooby was everything and more to her. Everyone knew
that you couldn't do nothing to Scooby, and she knew about it.
Bird was preceded in death by her mother Mary Maggieline Jones. Bird leaves to cherish fond
memories a special friend Joe P. Graves; four daughters: Sandra Gillespie, Latrice (Leroy)
Blount, Latosha Gillespie, Lastarsha Gillespie; five sons: Joey (Nickie) Gillespie, Montrice
Gillespie, Christopher Gillespie, Montrail Gillespie, and Geonary Gillespie. One sister: Marlene
Gillespie; two brothers: Theodore (Ricky) Hamilton and Terrance (Tony) Hamilton; twenty-five
grandchildren: Al 'tyreke, Jasmine, Damien, Xavier, Jayceon, Nigel, Cameron, La'braya,
Zymere, Drayzeon, Nyearah, Sha'Kyra, Maliah, Naadiya, Zi'asia, Zina, Zy'lasia, Laila, Paisley,
A' Shai, Braylen, Kameron, Montoya, Kerona and Angel; five great grands: Adaya, Kacey,
Jayden, Michael and Makel; five additional daughters; Kelsey Dudley, Jessica Anderson,
Diamond Hailey, Jamaica Huggins and Jessica Stewart; one additional son: Ricky Fuller; four
close friends: Sonja Jackson, Kathy Williams, Renee Owens and Janice Myers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Im so sorry to hear of the passing of Sister Patricia; she and I attended church together for many years at New Bethel Apostolic Church. I send my prayers to her children, grandchildren and siblings that God will strengthen you doing this difficult time.
