Obituary For Ms. Ruby Miles Ladson

Ruby Lee Miles Ladson entered eternal rest peacefully at McLeod Medical Center on Friday, May 15, 2020 in Dillon, South Carolina at the youthful age of 61. Ruby Lee Miles Ladson was born on September 21, 1958 in Dillon County, South Carolina to the late James Buster Miles Jr. and Julia Watson Miles. She was baptized at an early age at the Old St. Mark Baptist Church, Dillon, South Carolina. She married Johnny Ladson, whom she remained faithful to until her death.

Ruby Miles Ladson was the Assistant Pastor of The House of Prayer. She was a devoted Christian. Ruby worked for numerous years with Dillon District Four formally known as Dillon District Two, Dillon, South Carolina and Smithfield Cold Packaging in Tar Heel, North Carolina. Ruby Miles Ladson was a God-fearing woman with a beautiful smile who never met a stranger. She loved doing missionary work in the community. She loved her family. She gave to anyone in need. She was a great cook and shared her dishes with her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. As a devoted Christian, Ruby Miles Ladson work in this world is complete. She had perfected the art of influencing people in such a way as to gain their loyal cooperation and obedience to work together.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents: James Buster (Julia Watson) Miles Jr; her husband: Johnny Ladson; her sister: Mary Lee Miles Reid; brothers-n-law: Lacy Reid, John C. Yates, and Chester Erby and her nephew: Abraham Reid. Ruby Lee Miles Ladson is survived by her children: Timothy Miles of New York, NY, Katashia (Jeffery) Brown of Charlotte, NC, Shonda (Tommy) Allen of Marion, SC, Deseray (Kevin) Locklear of Sellers, SC; Shaning (Marcus) Bethea of Dillon, SC; two step-sons: Demetrius Young of Indianapolis, ID and Antwan Young of Philadelphia, PA; siblings: Richard Allen Miles of Manhattan, NY, Shirley Yates and Rachel Nails of Dillon, SC, James E. (Renae) Miles of Phoenix, AZ, Sarah (Raul) Becerra of Atlanta, GA, Eva Miles of Decatur, GA, Ray Charles Miles of Atlanta, GA and Kenneth Miles of Chamblee, GA; eight brothers-n-law: James Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, Jessie (Annie Mae) Watson of Rowland, NC, Tracey Ladson of Fayetteville, NC, Fred (Constance) Ladson and Toney (Brenda) Ladson both of Sellers, SC, Randy (Marainetta) Ladson of Elizabethtown, NC and Andy Ladson of Charlotte, NC; seven sisters-n-law: Sarah Helen Vanderhall of Rowland, NC, Rosa (Robert) Thompson of Charleston, SC, Izeaner (David) McCoy, Linda Gordon both of Dillon, SC, Shirley Clark of Lake View, SC, Brenda (Edward) Hughes of Charlotte, NC and Kathleen Ladson of Columbia, SC; one aunt: Linda McLaughlin of Dillon, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
