Ms. Doretha was a dear friend to my parents. Their friendship began before they were teens! Prior to my Mom passing (2022), she and "Aunt Doe" used to laugh and giggle on the phone weekly about their youth: picking blueberries, picking cotton, attending church at "The Valley", attending quartet group programs, and the goodnessof God! To summarize my memories of her, Aunt Doe was just like her pineapple cake: warm, sweet, and loved by everyone. Memories of Aunt Doe will live in my heart forever! With sympathy, Lillie Vanderhall-Fore

Ms. Doretha was my dad Bishop Freeman Mcleod's God-sister. She loved the Lord. She was the best cook ever. She will be missed. May God continue to lead and guide the Platt family and friends.
