Obituary For Mr. Raymond L. Moore

Mr. Raymond L. Moore of Panama City entered into etrnal rest on Sunday June 19, 2022 in the comfort of his home.

Raymond was raised in Alabama and Georgia, where he attended public schools. He later moved to Panama City, FL, where he met and married Elder Eveline (Bell) Moore.

In addition to his parents, Willie and Callie, Raymond was also preceded in death by his wife, Elder Eveline Bell Moore; two brothers, Willie Moore, Sr., and Isaiah Moore, Sr.; two sisters, Laura Hesten and Carama Moore; and two grandchildren, Kajauna L. Dean and Kyle W. Dean.

Raymond leaves a legacy of love and memories that will forever be cherished with: five sons and four daughters, George (Doris) Dean and Leonard (Linda) Dean, both of Ebro, Florida, Darryl (Beverly) Johnson of Waco, Texas, Alonzo Johnson of Panama City, Florida, Anthony Johnson of Pheonix City, Alabama, Debra Austin of Panama City, Florida, Darlene (David) Thomas of Pheonix City, Alabama, Althea (Kenneth) Porter of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ramonda Moore Brown of Montgomery, Alabama; 27 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Eddie Moore and Dannie McCreary, both of Panama City, Florida; three sisters, Ms. Mattie J. Bell and Annie (Charles) Jackson, both of Panama City, Florida and Margaret (Willie) Ware of Gainesville, Florida; one brother-in-law, Ezra E. Bell of California; one sister-in-law, Pastor Mattie P. Gainer of Panama City, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration for Raymond will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the graveside of St. Luke AME Church Cemetery of Vernon, FL with Reverend Leonard Dean officiating. Interment will follow the services with the caring staff of Battle Mortuary of Panama City, Florida directing.
