Mrs. Elizabeth “DV” Williams, 77, affectionately known as “Dee”, transitioned peacefully on November 13, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia. Born on December 28, 1947, in Eatonton, Georgia, Elizabeth was the fourth of seven children born to the late Arthur Lee and Alma Waller Brundage. She was educated in the Putnam County School System. She was preceded in death by her son, Kerry L. Williams; three sisters, Juanita, Eldora, and Bernice; and two brothers, Eddie and Eugene.
Elizabeth met and went on to marry the love of her life, Elder Ulysses Williams, Sr., on October 3, 1965; Elizabeth relocated to Milledgeville, Georgia, where she remained a proud and devoted resident. She would become an integral part of a strong, close-knit, and nurturing community of lifelong friends and those she considered family.
Elizabeth’s spiritual roots were deeply grounded from her upbringing. At an early age, she realized the importance of worshipping God and serving the Lord alongside her family. In her final days, she shared heartfelt words and reflections on life with her loved ones. She reminisced on cherished memories and expressed pride in those she held dear. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter.
To cherish her memories and the legacy, she leaves behind her devoted husband Elder Ulysses Williams, Sr.; her children: Sharon Lundy; Milledgeville, GA, Ulysses Williams, Jr.; Macon,GA, Carolyn Ingram (Mike); Macon, GA, Sandra El, Warner Robins, GA, Timothy Williams (Sharon), Milledgeville, GA., and Tamela Williams (fiancé Antonio); Athens, Ga., her sister, Mrs. Theodora West of Eatonton, GA; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Fannie Lou Brundage of Eatonton,Georgia, Ms. Juanita West of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Mrs. Dorothy Ellison of Eatonton,GA; one brother-in-law, Mr.Bennie Frank Williams of Atlanta,GA; and a host of friends and other relatives. Special thanks to Mrs. Eva Cartwright, Mrs. Angela Scott, Mrs. Zonia Clark, Mrs. Patricia Waller, Mrs. Jewel Milner, Mrs. Annette Davis, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Dennis, Ms.Kimberly Harper, Ms. Gladys Jackson, Mrs. Mildred “Dianne” Mathis, and many others for their unwavering support and friendship throughout the years.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Bernard’s Eatonton Chapel at 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 21, 2025 at The Plaza Arts Center, 305 Madison Avenue, Eatonton, GA. Pastor Johnny Sanders will officiate and present the eulogy. Burial will follow in Eastside Eatonton City Cemetery, 124 Hogan Boulevard, Eatonton, GA 31024.
