Obituary For Eurie Mae Harden

Eurie Harden, formerly of Eatonton, Georgia transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, November 19, 2021, in Cataula, Georgia.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 3:00pm - 5:30pm; in the chapel of Bernard’s Family Funeral Care “The Eatonton Chapel”.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00am in the sanctuary of Zion Covenant Fellowship Church located at 402 S. Oak Street Eatonton, GA 31024.

Eurie Mae (Beasley) Harden, she was born on June 5, 1929 in Eatonton Georgia and was called home on November 19, 2021. She was the oldest daughter of Ben Beasley and Mattie M (Jackson) Beasley. She was raised by her aunt and uncle Cindy and Steve Humphries who were Mom and Dad to her.

She married Rev. Jesse Harden on August 12, 1955 who preceded her in death. She is the mother of four children, two preceded her in death; Elliott Joe Harden and Dwight Douglas Harden.

She was baptized at the age of 13 by her father Ben Beasley at the Church of Christ in Miami Florida. After leaving the home of mama Cindy and daddy Steve at the age of 18, she moved to Macon Georgia and was united with the Little Rock Baptist Church and was again baptized by the Reverend Lewis. There she served on the usher board until she married and moved to Cleveland Ohio in 1955. She joined the greater Ebenezer Baptist Church on E105th Street under the leadership of Reverend HG Payton. She later joined the Divinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jonathan Ealy (in the late 50’s). Later the name was changed to the People’s Church where she served until her death.

She attended primary school in Eatonton, Ga and Booker T Washington high school in Miami Florida for a year. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio she attended classes at Cleveland Adult Night School. She also obtained Ohio State Board License for LPN and American Cardiologists Assistance for Registered EKG Technician. Eurie always contributed her ability to pass every exam; was only by the help of God through Christ Jesus our Lord.

She was known to be a hard worker. She worked odd jobs while in Macon Georgia. After, moving to Cleveland, Ohio, she was employed at Huron Road Hospital and worked there for 30 plus years. And was part-time for six years at Merida Euclid Hospital until she retired in 1994 to take care of her husband.

She leaves to cherish her many memories, her children: Darlene Harden (Calvin) Columbus, GA and Minister Glenn Harden Marietta, GA. Play daughter Rudy Randolph Warrensville Hts., OH. Sisters: Elizabeth Vaughn, Mary E. Beasley (preceded her in death), Mildred Singleton, Mattie Severance, Mary Alice Beasley. Brothers: Aaron, George, James, and Bennie Beasley; Grandchildren: Reesha Evans (Devan) Euclid, OH, Andre Pounds (Danielle) Stockbridge Ga, Khary Paschel (LaTrina) Brunswick, GA, Latrisha Parrish Homestead, Fl, Elliott Paschel, Cleveland, OH, Isaiah Garrett, Los Angeles, CA, Jibri Harden Sylacauga, Al, Khallid Harden, Marietta, Ga, Malik Henry-Harden Stockbridge, GA;Great-Grandchildren: Elliott Logan, Ashanti and Devonta Evans, Andre II and Isaiah Pounds, Dantrell Marshall, Jasmine Schley, Sapora, Michal and Khary Jr. Paschel, Jayla and Kayla Dubose, Nitanjae (preceded her in death) and Jakirra Terry, Tranecia, Tekya, Dwight Garner, RaNiyah Parrish, Maria Paschel and Triston Cooper Great Great-Grandchildren: Mackenzie Elkins and Noel Evans; Daughters In Love: Pearl Wilson, Beverly Henry; She also had a host of play daughters and sons, and grand-children, nieces, nephews, relatives, Church family and friends.

The family of Eurie Mae Harden would like to thank you all for your prayers during this Going Home Celebration. Your love, support, food donations, gifts, text messages and phone calls mean a great deal to us during this season of transitioning to a new journey. We are blessed to have had a Christian mother to set our hearts on the path of Life. Because nothing and no one in God’s hands is ever lost; and we pray that Our Lord Jesus Christ will bless you for all you’ve done for us in the past, present and future. We pray His blessing upon you all and your families as you have considered our family in this time of Bereavement. Whatever you’ve done to comfort our hearts, we’ve truly felt your love. And we truly Thank you.
