Bernard’s Family Funeral Care, The Eatonton Chapel announces with profound sorrow the passing of Mr. George Washington Thomas Jr. of McDonough, Georgia. Mr. Thomas passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his devoted and loving family.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Watkins Funeral Home, located in McDonough, Georgia.
Floral arrangements may be delivered to Watkins Funeral Home, 96 S. Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life Service honoring Mr. Thomas will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at Shiloh Baptist Church, 262 Macon Street, McDonough, Georgia.
Mr. Thomas will lie in state at the church beginning at 11:00 AM prior to the service.
