Miss Lessie taught so many life lessons just by how she loved to spend her days: sowing seeds, tending the garden lovingly, harvesting the products herself, and preparing foods to share with others. Hers was a heart made strong by discipline pumping blood of a generous spirit. My boys and I will never forget sitting on the porch learning how she made homemade soap, picking plums from the trees in her front yard with her, or watching her cut and cook piles of vegetables for her famous chow-chow. Even when she broke her hip, she was unflappable and grateful to all. What a blessing to have known her almost 2 decades! Pamela Hall
You will be truly missed! Love Daisy
