The family of Malinda Nachelle Collins announce her transition to eternal rest. Malinda passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her residence.
Malinda Nachelle Collins was born January 24,1973, in Baldwin County, Milledgeville, Georgia to the parentage of Johnny Collins and the late Ida Mae Collins. Malinda received her education from the Putnam County School System in Eatonton, Georgia. She was a member of graduating Class of 1991. Malinda was employed by the Putnam County Board of Education as a transportation specialist. She had a great love for children, which led to her becoming a surrogate educator.
Malinda was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Collins; grandmothers, Ida Bell Andrews, Mildred Andrews, and Minnie Lee Collins; and grandfathers, William Henry Andrews and Richard Lee Collins.
Malinda is survived by her daughter, Marquilia Watkins; son, Bryson Foster; god sons, Travias “Jerrell” Ellison and Khalil "KT" Waller; grandchildren, Carson Thurman and Jade Thurman; brothers, Detrich "Mond" Waller, Correy Collins, and Torey Collins; sister, Ca’Wandra "Denise" Waller; god sister, Jakira Andrews; a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friends, Roderick Reid and Demetria Reid.
Funeral service arrangements will begin Friday, September 8, 2023 with viewing and visitation from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the Eatonton Chapel of Bernard's Family Funeral Care. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Herbert Stokes Gymnasium of Putnam County Middle School, 140 Sparta Highway, Eatonton, Georgia.
