Obituary For Deacon Pledger Browning
Bernard’s Family Funeral Care, The Madison Chapel, announces with heartfelt sympathy the passing of Deacon Pledger Browning of Madison, Georgia. Mr. Browning peacefully transitioned on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
A public viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bernard’s Family Funeral Care.
During this time of bereavement, family and friends are also welcome to visit with the family at the residence of Uncle Pledge, 1202 Newman Drive, Madison, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church. Interment and repast will follow at Thankful Baptist Church.

Sending love and prayers to the family. Mr Pledge was a very friendly and nice person. Always sharing a great smile and greeted everyone with respect. Even though he was my elder. He would always call me Mrs Lewis. May God continue to give the family strength. He is now resting in the bosom of God.

I have fond memories of running into Deacon Browning at church functions or around town in Madison. He would always give a firm handshake, and a hearty "Hello". It wasn't hard to feel better after his greeting. I always felt respected and blessed to know him. May God give his family peace, strength, and comfort during this time of transition.
