Precious in your little frame, you danced into my heart. And with the grace with which you came, with grace you did depart. You held my finger in your hand, and with it held my soul. I fell in love with those wide eyes, one kiss and I was whole.

Baby Alaiya Alson, of Henderson, North Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30am on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Cindy P. Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina. Alaiya is survived by her loving parents, Zekasha Reed of Oxford, North Carolina and Davion Alston of Henderson, North Carolina; her grandparents, Crystal Hatcher of Oxford, North Carolina, Dwayne Reed (Latoya) of Oxford, North Carolina, Felicia Spruill of Henderson, North Carolina and Donald Alston (Tanesha) of Bowie, Maryland; her Godmother, Synarria Thorpe; her aunts, Shakira, Zikerra, Chatoria, and Laniyah; her uncles, Kamari, Dwayne Jr., Lamar, Donte and Deandre; great-grandparents, Sarah Alston of Warrenton, North Carolina, Lena Spruill of Henderson, North Carolina, Gladys Hatcher of Oxford, North Carolina and Annette Reed of Oxford, North Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relative and friends.
