Apostle Alvin Donald Sledge, age 61, of Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Duke Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Norlina. The Reverend John Earl Alston will deliver eulogy.
He leaves to cherish his memory and honor his legacy: His loving wife, Catherine; his children Chandra Sledge Mathias (Michael), Casha Sledge Dees (Derke), and Chalis Sledge Henderson (Braxton); three grandchildren, Dylan Dees, Chance Dees, and Silas Henderson ; one grand-dog: Kravitz Lenny Sledge Mathias along with siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The body will be on view at the funeral home on today, May 13, 2019 starting at 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
My heartfelt condolences goes out to the Sledge family. May the memories of Donnie help to ease your pain of sorrow. We can see him again, because there will be a resurrection. ( Acts 24: 15).
