Obituary For Azlean B. Hobson

I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

Azlean B. Hobson age 85, of Macon, North Carolina, departed this life on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Granville Medical Center in Oxford, North Carolina.

Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 in the sanctuary of United Solid Rock Faith Ministries in Norlina, NC. The Bishop Moore H. Bynum will officiate and burial will follow in the church memorial gardens.

She leaves to mourn her passing four brothers, Lendburgh (Carolyn) of Neptune, NJ, Charles (Sherry), Ricardo “Ricky”(Renea) of Sawyerville, AL and Shelton Hobson of Cleveland, OH; six sisters, Mary Lue Rogers of NJ, Mary Valentines of Macon, NC, Carrie Gordon and Vernon Lewis both of Pontiac, MI, Lillian Delois Long of Sawyerville, AL and Alfrida (Robert) Anderson of Tuscaloosa, AL; one sister-in-law, Cornelia Hobson of Tuscaloosa, AL; the children she assisted in raising, Maurice, Antoinette, Shantala, Cameron, Taja, Justin, Josie and Tyler and her caregiver Brenda (Philip) Bright; along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She may be viewed on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, NC.
