To everything there is a season, And a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to plant and a time to harvest… As God sows and reaps each tiny seed in the soil, He cares for us from first light And far beyond our earthly toil.

Sorry for your loss
Rest In Peace "Barbara Ann". You no longer have to wait for anyone; watching clocks, listening for the telephone to ring, waiting to hear that familiar voice only to feel that old pang of disappointment. You are free now. Rest your head in the arms of the one who love you. The one who gave you life. The one who had mercy on your soul. The one who encouraged you to look at the clock one last time. The one who said "it's time to come home my child, your watching and waiting is over. Rest In Peace now. Sleep well. You will never be alone again.
To my Fine as Wine, beautiful, encouraging, discerning, loving, spunky and one of a kind Auntie Barbara Alston Buchanan, You will never, ever be forgotten nor will your memory be deminished. You were the oldest of 10 Children, our crowning "MATRIARCH". The world could no longer handle the glory of you and the Father had prepared your place in his rest so in peace, you transitioned from life to Eternity. I attempted, to the best of my ability, to make sure that you could have Joy, laughter, love and fun during our time together leading up to the day the Lord called you home. Even at your bedside, I talked to you, combed your hair, sang and worshipped with you and prayed over you. You were like a Mother to me and my Kids. You always told my momma Carolyn Harris, "You had that baby for me ." Although you didn't have any children, Brian Mayfield, Melanie Blake and I were all the headaches you needed, lol!!!! Auntie, I loved when we talked and you loved to talk about the word of God, Marriage, family and relationships. When I would be teaching on live or anything you were always listening, when I preached, if you could you and momma were there, my biggest supporters. You were always concerned about your family (Alston's & Buchanan's) and praying for all of us was never a struggle for you, you went in for your family even when you were in pain or going through yourself. At the forefront of your mind was your husband, Thomas L. Buchanan (after the Lord of course) always praying and concerned about his well being and safety or feelings. When you loved Auntie you loved hard and your love was committed, you were a loving and devoted wife all the way until your last breath. 40 years you were together. Since I was a kid I remember you and Uncle Tommy Tic and I was your "Scooter Pie." I am going to miss our talks, the stories you shared, the good and bad experiences but one thing for sure my love, my respect and honor for you will never fade. Uncle Tommy Tic will be alright, God got him Auntie and so do we. You rest now, the struggle with this life is over, you are healed, whole, without pain or sickness, in that place of the Lords bosom, I am eternally grateful to have had you in my life. This road continues to curve and dip, but I will never stop the journey. When the road gets rough I will remember what you always said, "Keep your hand in the Lords hand and you'll never go wrong, he will lead you all the way home." Yeah, you were a poet, artistic and creative but most of all you were our Queen! #REIGNONINGLORYQUEEN
