Bertha Desmond age 81, of Macon departed this life on January 22,2026 at Maria Parham Health.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mrs. Bertha Desmond on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 1:00pm at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services Chapel in Warrenton, NC. The Reverend Alonzo West will officiate and burial will follow in White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Johnny Desmond of the home; her three children, Bridgette Williams of Yonkers, New York; Karen Williams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Vernon Desmond of Warrenton, North Carolina; her siblings, Nan Browner, Emma Dene Bryant, Helen Richardson, Alma Williams, Rachel Richardson, and Amos Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She can be viewed Wednesday, February 4,2026 from 1:00pm-5:00pm

Vernon , Bridgette, Karen and John , Your Mom and Your wife will be missed by so many people . You were so special to me and my children . We had so much fun together in Denver . She will always hold a special place in my heart . Her and Margie will be playing pickles and bingo together in heaven . Bertha really didn't like bingo .
