Bishop Henry L. Hargrove age 91 of Washington, DC (formally of Warren County) departed this life on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Washington, DC.
The Celebration of Life for Bishop Henry L. Hargrove will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00am in the sanctuary of Ransom Way of the Cross, 90 S. Lake Lodge Ext, Henderson, NC 27537. Bishop Robert Terry, Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Brookston Baptist Church Cemetery, 242 Baptist Church Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his beloved wife: Lady Beverly Hargrove; his four children, Henry L. Hargrove, Jr. (Shirley); Gracie D. Hargrove; Timothy E. Hargrove; and Milton A. Hargrove (Michelle); his three bonus children, Sherril, Derek, and West Stalley; eleven grandchildren: Russell L. Harris III, Shelita M. Dunlap (Kevine), Timothy A. Harris (Tina), Henry L. Hargrove III (Kurstin), Ashley Hargrove, Timothy E. Hargrove, Jr. (Caitlin), Jacqueline G. Hargrove-Baptiste (Kevin), Jonathan Hargrove, Nadia Duncan, Eric Hargrove, and Alexis Hargrove; twenty-one great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Rosa Hawkins of Manson, NC; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bishop Hargrove may be viewed on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10am until time of service in the sanctuary of Ransom Way of The Cross.
Let uncle Henry be remembered for his wisdom and guidance. May the family grow strong from his teachings
