Mr. Burnell Yancey, Jr. age 67, of Warren County, North Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 Durham Veteran Affairs Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, NC. The Reverend Hassan Kingsberry will officiate. Military Honors and Burial will follow in the Manson Baptist Church Cemetery in Norlina, NC.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Laura Taylor Yancey of Goldsboro, NC, two daughters; Tanisha Lyons (Nate) of Norlina, NC and Laurica Yancey of Goldsboro, NC, two sons; Jasen Watson of Henderson, NC and Runell Yancey of Ridgeway, NC, two bonus sons; Craig (Angela) Taylor of Raleigh, NC and Christopher Taylor (Bethsheba) of Calverton, New York, four sisters; Dorothy Yancey of Loganville, GA, Juanita Yancey of Stone Mountain, GA, Regena Yancey of Oxford, NC, and Vanessa Brooks (Michael) of Henderson, NC, three brothers; McDonald Yancey (Arnetta) of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael (Thelma) Yancey, Sr of Decatur, GA, and Kenneth (Kathy) Yancey of Jonesboro, GA, one sister-in-law, Brenda Smith of Raleigh, NC, one aunt Ruth Jones of Ridgeway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He may be viewed on Monday, February 1st from 12noon until 5:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service in Warrenton, North Carolina.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral attendance will be limited to 50 guests or less; therefore, we ask that you pay your respects during the viewing and visitation the day prior to the service to allow the immediate family to attend the funeral service. Safetey Measured will be enforced at the service.
