I’ve changed my address to Heaven
I’ve crossed the Great Divide.
I know there’s no sorrow or crying,
Because I’ve reached the other side.
I am so happy to be here,
for the Lord Himself I see.
Carrie Lee Alston Jordan age 94, of Warrenton, North Carolina, departed this life on Monday, April 7,2025 at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.
Homegoing Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00PM in the sanctuary of Greenwood Baptist Church in Warrenton, NC. The Reverend Eddie W. Lawrence, Pastor will officiate, and burial will follow in the Alston Memorial Gardens.
She may be viewed on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10am until 2:00pm at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, NC.

Add A CondolenceCarrie Lee Alston Jordan and our mother, Cora Lee Watson Zimmerman were very close friends. As is true for most of the population in Warrenton, they were also related. Carrie's mother and Cora's grandfather were siblings. Carrie and Cora had lengthy telephone conversations several times a week, usually late into the night. They discussed all the family matters happening in their beloved "home" of Warrenton. Carrie often visited Cora at her home in Queens, NY from her home in White Plains, NY. Carrie would bring her eagerly anticipated coconut cake. Visits from Carrie and her daughter, Kilwanna will always be treasured memories for myself, my brother Herbert and our family.
