We knew little that day that God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

Ever since I was a child Uncle Charlie made my life bright. Ever memory I have are all good memories. We would joke around a lot and talk trash and pretend to fight or say what we were going to do to each other, man what a blast we had. He let me be who and I am and he loved me for who I am and never judged but was always there to lend me an ear if I need advice especially after my father passed. I love you uncle Charlie and I miss you.

Thank you Uncle Charlie for the life you lived and the loved you showed me since childhood. You have truly fought the good fight, kept the faith, finish your course, and now you await your crown. As you have ushered so many into the house of God during your years at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church of Brooklyn and Greater Lovely Hill of North Carolina, the time has come when God has welcomed you into His eternal resting place to join Auntie Eleanor, Uncle Jesse, my Father, and so many others. Get your rest and I will see you in the morning. Love you!
