Obituary For Clemon Hawkins
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Mr. Clemon Hawkins, age 85, of Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisburg, North Carolina.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church 224 Parktown Rd. Warrenton, North Carolina. Reverend Carson Jones, Jr. Will deliver the eulogy and interment will follow at Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
Clemon leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Deaconess Alice Alston (Deacon Charles) of Warrenton, NC; two sons, Clemon Hawkins, Jr.(Lisa) of Durham, NC and Stanley Hawkins(Nicky) of Franklinton, NC; seven grandchildren, Jamar, Clemon L., Jamel (Newlyn), Kimerly(Alando), Kermaine, Kevonte and Brandon; two special grandchildren, Rachon and Joshua; twelve great -grandchildren, ,Alajah, Allaiah, Aiden, Ayanna, Anaiah, Nyzir, K’Nyla, Jayme, Jamel, Ja’saih, Jakobi, and Krue; six brothers in-law, Wortham Davis(Patricia), John Henry Davis(Annette), Rockafello Davis(Betty), Andrew Davis(Ann), Eddie Davis(Elizabeth), Ernest Gillispie; four sisters in-law, Mildred Strange(Charles), Patsy Green(Calvin), Barabara Green(Kenneth, Sr.), Audrey Davis; one Godson, Lee Terry; a special friend, Leon Williams; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 2:00PM until 6:00 PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Service 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton.

Clemon and his wife Clara were hero's in showing love towards those that were challenged in life. He always called me Juke as he thought that I looked like my Uncle John "Juke" Davis. He was a gentleman of the highest order; not once did I ever see him show anger towards anyone. Truly, God, thru our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, allowed Clemon to live a long life because of his steadfast obedience to His holy word. He loved his family and I sent three sweatshirts (on behalf of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit) with the names of Clemon and his wife to continually show their love to their daughter Denise Alice "Nie-Cie" Hawkins. Clemon left behind a legacy of love worthy of emulation by any Christian. It is an honor to have known him coupled with a blessing from Christ.
