We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.

Mr. Franklin D. Edwards age 77, of Norlina, North Carolina departed this life on Friday, September 6, 2024, at his residence.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 11:00am in the sanctuary of Manson Missionary Baptist Church, 320 Kimball Road, Norlina, NC 27563. The Reverend Tony Clark, Pastor will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 12noon at Bullock Cemetery, 2843 Otter Creek Church Road, Macclesfield, NC 27852.
Deacon Edwards is survived by his loving wife, Almeta Edwards of the home; one stepdaughter, Toy Giles of New York ; three stepsons, Gerald, Keith, and Byron ; one grandson, Cameron Giles ; two sisters, Dorothea Simmons and Eleanor Green; one brother, Sean Edwards of New York; three brothers in law, Joe Gay, Calvin Gay and Anthony Bowers ;seven sisters in law, Sue, Annie Bess, Fannie, Evelyn, Janice, Mary and Mary Alice; three nieces, Veronica, Tamika, and Elasia; many favorite nieces; one excellent caregiver, Diane Morgan ; one longtime and faithful friend, Kevin Green of Atlanta, Georgia ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
Deacon Edwards may be viewed on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10am until 1pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service in Warrenton, NC.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that Eddie has been struggling with illness for a long time. I hope you find comfort in knowing that his suffering is ovet and that he is at peace. He lived a long life, so he left many cherished memories and a legacy of love. I know i have memories that i will cherish. May your memories turn mourning into a celebration of life.
