The hardest part of living is being separated from our loved ones who return home to God. But there is comfort in the word of God. "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him". Thessalonians 4:13-14 Be comforted family and Rest on Uncle Bit, Until we meet again.

Love from your great nieces and nephews in Orange Park, FL.

Petra Hayes-Cooper

Uncle Bit, a sobriquet of his lawful name, William H.Hayes, will be truly missed. I was always welcomed at his home sharing thoughts of yesterday and future endeavors. I sent them a chiming wall clock more than a decade ago and was surprised it still worked. Recently, I sent him an AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD mirror which he deeply appreciated. We're both Vietnam veterans and enjoyed sharing thoughts on war and military service. We loved to discuss farm life as a child coupled with social challenges of the day. He made it clear that the key to avoiding drama was KNOWING YOUR PLACE and the key to daily survival was hard work, sun-up-to-sun-down six days a week; church on Sunday, in the field on Monday. I can honestly say that the key to my avoiding some of life's challenges was taking the WISDOM he shared to heart. No, he was not a perfect man that could walk on water, as the cliche goes in the military, like Christ: however, he was definitely a strong swimmer that could keep his head above water and finish the race in style. Without question and under no uncertain terms, Christ is pleased. See you shortly, Master Sergeant Hayes.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven. 2 Corinthians 5 (KJV) This has been a rough 2 months but in the end knowing my Uncle Daddy is in the house of the Lord where there are many mansions occupied by his parents, brothers and sisters & several other loved ones make me smile and say Hallelujah, until we meet again. You will be truly missed Uncle Bit. Thank you for every prayer you spoke over me during my own grief & sickness and every word of encouragement to uplift my spirits. I love you so much. Your niece & bonus daughter, Teena "KoKo" Hayes

Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
