Deacon Jack Akins of Manson departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2026, at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Service honoring Deacon and Deaconess Akins will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in the sanctuary of Burchette Chapel United Church of Christ in Manson, North Carolina. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Charlie E. Leath will officiate, and Pastor Cora Boyd will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Deacon & Deaconess Akins leaves behind a legacy of memories that will be treasured by their family and friends. During this time of loss, the family asks for your prayers and support.
