Obituary For James Nelson Harris
It is with heartfelt sympathy that Boyd & Royster Funeral Services announces the passing of Mr. James Nelson Harris, age 73, of Warrenton, North Carolina, who departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at WakeMed Medical Center.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26,2026 at 12:00pm in the sanctuary of The Greater Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Macon, NC. The Reverend Melvin Ramsey, Pastor and Reverend Cindy P. Davis will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Ella S. Harris; two daughters, Gwendolyn "Gwen" Harris and Sheneka "Neka" Harris; two sisters, Mary Watson and Carolyn Reavis (Bill); one uncle, Clint Powell (Faye); two aunts, Reverend Cindy Davis and Mary Moyler; one brother-in-law, Floyd Shearin (Bertha); one sister-in-law, Wanda Harris; one aunt-in-law, Queen Alston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory
He may viewed on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 11:00 am until 2:00pm at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services.
