Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,

I took his hand when I heard his call,

Joe L. Hunt, age 81 of Norlina, North Carolina, departed this life on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Granville Medical Center in Oxford, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services. The Reverend Preston Williams, Jr. will officiate.

Joe leaves special memories to be cherished by; his special daughter, Ophelia Hunt (James McKnight) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; two sons, Joe D. Hunt of Warrenton, North Carolina and Donald Hunt (Toni) of Wise, North Carolina; one brother, Anthony D. Hunt (Annette) of Richmond, Virginia; seven grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; two close grandsons, Brandon Hunt of Warrenton, North Carolina and David George of Creedmor, North Carolina; two special nieces, Syliva Brown of Wise, North Carolina and Selena Hunt of Laurel, Maryland; one very close brother in law and friend, Donnell Hargrove (Mylinda) of Warrenton, North Carolina; one sister in law, Linda J. Hargrove of Wise, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Hunt may be viewed on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 1:00PM until 6:00PM in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services, 149 Holland Bland Road, Warrenton, NC.
