Obituary For Josemilia "Josey" Bayoh
It is with heartfelt sympathy that Boyd & Royster Funeral Services announces the passing of Ms. Josemilia Bayoh, age 50, of Macon, North Carolina, who departed this life on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at her residence.
A Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Zshaniqua of New Jersey, and Zshykira, Jaylah, and Jayce, formerly of the home and now residing in Charlotte, North Carolina; her devoted fiancé, Robert Elam, Jr.; her father, Joseph Bayoh (Haja); her sisters, Tammy Powell of New Jersey, Tritobia Bayoh of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lena Isha Pratt-Bobo (Dasan), Halima Bayoh, and her brother, Yusif Bayoh, all of Maryland; Joshua, Benjamin, and Daniel; her nieces, Tabitha, I'Tiana (who was lovingly named after her), and Ava; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Danny, Jr., Daniel, Jr., I'Yana, Day'vion, and Destinee; her aunts, Justina Shepard, Mary Brown, and Maggie Hargrove; and her uncle, Walter Powell;her special friends, Sonya, Kerry, Chennoa, and Anthony Fields, whom she affectionately called her "dawg," fishing buddy, and best friend;her special nurse and mentor, Christina Lynch-Shearin, along with a host of beloved cousins, countless friends, and all whose lives were touched by her love, kindness, and enduring spirit.
We extend our sincere condolences to the Bayoh family during this difficult time and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Add A CondolenceTo the family of Josey you have my deepest sympathy and prayers especially to her children. Your mom was kind and a loving person. She loved her children. I thank God that our path crossed. She will be missed but her love will remain in our hearts.
Josey was a co-worker of mine who ended up being someone I could call a friend. We worked together for years at Warren Hills. I admired her work ethic. After I left Warren Hills we remained in touch. Her health started to decline and she ended up being a patient of mine a few times. She never let her health slow her down. She was determined to still work and further her education all while battling her declining health. She was one of the toughest women I have ever met. She was one of a kind. She will be greatly missed.
