Josue Virella-Rivera, age 30, of Henderson, North Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, February 19,2025 in Henderson, North Carolina.

A Celebration of life for Josue Rivera will be held on Friday, February 28,2025 at 1:00pm in the sanctuary of Greenwood Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. Bishop J. Terrell Alston will officiate.

Josue leaves to cherish his memory one son ,Kai Josiah Branch-Rivera of Wise, NC; one daughter, Kalani Jade Branch-Rivera of Wise, NC; mother, Sandra Rivera-Olivero (Otis) of Henderson, NC; one brother, Jared Daniel Rivera of Henderson, NC; his grandmother, Nydia Denkins of Warrenton; one step sister, Melinda Mendez of Virginia; one step brother, Chris Lugo-Mendez (Massachusetts); his partner, Mayuka Branch of Wise, NC; four aunts, Miriam Alston (James) of Warrenton, NC, Janette Virella of Puerto Rico, Tania Rivera (Hugo) of Wake Forest, NC, and Sonia Alamo of Henderson, NC; two uncles, Carlos Padilla of Louisburg, NC and Omar Padilla of Warrenton, NC; cousins, Ruthie, Rebecca, Genesis, Tanichya, and Kevin; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public viewing: Thursday, February 27,2025 from 2:00pm -6:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster
