Mrs. Juanita Powell Jones 72, of Henderson, North Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at her residence.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 12:00 PM at Cooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 219 Cooks Chapel Road Warrenton, North Carolina. Apostle Maurice Halstead will officiate. First Lady Elect Juanita leaves to cherish her love; her husband Charlie, two children, Romel Lamar Powell (Kayla), of Gallup, New Mexico Yijeda Malika Powell Watson (Anthony) of Macon NC, two step-children, Tyrell and Fanetiece Jones, two brothers, Eugene McCrae Powell Sr. (Gail) of Snow Hill, NC and Frank Michael Jones of Warrenton NC, two sisters; Carolyn Jones of Warrenton, NC and Patricia Jones Crosson(Everett) of Upper Marlboro, Md. Two half-sisters; Linda A. Wilkerson, (Dale) of Norlina, NC and Suzanne P. Thompson, of Woodlawn, NJ; Six gran children, fifteen nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Saturday October 2, 2021 from 9-10 AM at Boyds & Royster Funeral Services 149 Holland Bland Road Warrenton, North Carolina.
I knew Juanita from her years at Refuge and I loved her dearly. My deepest regrets at knowing she has parted this life. My condolences
