Mr. Kelvin Kearney, age 71 of Warren Plains Road, Warrenton departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisburg, NC.
A Celebration of life will be held for Kelvin Kearney on Saturday, May 2,2026 at 2:00pm at Cooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, the Reverend Tony W. Cozart will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Kelvin is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Gloria Jean Kearney; daughters, Tawana Miller of Portsmouth, Virginia, Kim Dunston (husband), Jamie Batts, and Tenita Batts; son, Keith Batts (Kenyatta); grandchildren; great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his brother, Willis Kearney, Jr (Cherryl) of Portsmouth, Virginia; his sister, Cheryl Knight of Portsmouth, Virginia; two aunts, Nan Moore of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and Clara Johnston of Chesapeake, Virginia; brother in-law, Robert Dunston, jr (Angela); sister in-law, Dolly Howerton (Calvin); a special cousin who was like a brother, Ashley Kearney (Sherry); and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
