A light went out on Earth for me, the day we said goodbye, and on that day a star was born, the brightest in the sky.

Larry Talley, age 73, of Warren County, departed this life on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Warren Hills Nursing Center in Warrenton, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Larry Talley on Sunday, November 9,2025 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services. Minister Alice Stewart will officiate.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: four children, Vestina Michele Talley of Warrenton, North Carolina, Larry Ray Talley, Jr., and Wayne Lamont Talley of Norlina, North Carolina, and David Alston of Durham, North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his loving mother, Fannie Mae Talley of Warrenton, North Carolina; three brothers, Robert Lee Talley (Sylvia) of South Hill, Virginia, Earl Junious Talley, and Walter Ray Talley, both of Warrenton, North Carolina; two sisters, Catherine Hunt of Palmer Springs, Virginia, and Daisy Talley of Raleigh, North Carolina; a special nephew, McClinton Talley, Jr. (Tamara); special friends, Donnie Baskerville, Michael Talley, Tim Harris, and Ted Harris; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember his kindness, humor, and unwavering faith.
