We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
Mrs. Linda Crossin Reid, age 61 of Norlina, North Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Linda Crossin Reid on Saturday, March 8,2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service.
Linda is survived by her husband, Eddie D. Reid of the home; five sisters, Yvonne C. Downey, Bernice Crossin, and Kay Crossin George (Edwin) all of Norlina, NC, Janet C. Little, and Carol C. Harris of Conyers, Ga; three nieces, Christy Downey Richardson (Shelton), Corie C. Simmons (Wandarean) of Norlina, NC, and Louwanda Justice of Durham NC; two nephews, Samuel L. Downey of Durham, NC and Williams Earl Crossin Jr. (Patricia) of Philadelphia, Pa; father in-law, Eddie Reid (Mary); one brother in-law, Rodney Reid (Earth) of Henderson, NC; one sister in- law, Yolanda Murray (Chris) of Fredericksburg, VA; her best friend since elementary school whom was her sister, Frances Crump. The bond that they shared was inseparable. Frances was by her side through thick and thin and a true day one sister/friend; lifelong devoted friends, Tina Goode, Constance Terry Miller and Marvin Anderson where you saw one you saw all; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
