A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong.

Ms. Mary Stevens, age 65 of Durham, North Carolina departed this life on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

A Celebration of life for Ms. Mary Stevens will be held on Friday, March 14,2025 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service. The Bishop Robert Terry, Jr. will officiate and burial will follow in the Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, NC.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sister, Denise Richie, who dedicated much of her life to caring for her, and her brother in-law, Michael Richie, who loving assisted in her care. She is also survived by her brothers, Samuel Stevens of Norlina, North Carolina and Joseph Stevens of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Public viewing will take place one hour prior to service.
