Mrs. Barbara Wyche, age 80, of Norlina (Oine Community) departed this life on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Hock Family Pavillion in Durham, North Carolina.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Roanoke United Church of Christ 3300 Paschall Rd. Boydton, Virginia. Reverend Curtis McRae, Sr. will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her three daughters, Rosalind Diane Brown (Ronald) of Chesterfield, VA, Barbara Joyce Ward (John) of Oine NC, Norma Sabrina Flowers (Casey, Sr.) of Creedmoor, NC; One Goddaughter, Barbara Marie Downey, Clayton, NC; two bonus children, Stephanie Butler Thompson (James), George Washington Butler, III; seven grandchildren, Veronica Brown-Moseley (Donald), Ronald E. Brown II, Alimayu Malloy, Osei Malloy (Nadia), Noni Malloy, Eliaz Malloy, Casey Lee Flowers II; three great grandchildren, Donald Mosely, Jr., Zaliyah Moseley, and Ronald Brown III. Ja’Kai Omari Malloy; six sisters, Alice Harrison, Margaret Alexander, Ann Jones (Pastor Milton), Ruby Downey and Arvella Scott (Terry) all of Oine, NC, Peggy Elliott (Carl) of Linden, NC.; three brothers, Phil Downey (Marie) of Richmond, VA, Ronnie Downey (Ruby) of Oine, NC, and Ricky Downey (LaVonnia) of Richmond, VA.; five sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Venable (Russell) of Henderson, NC., Costello Reid Alston, Lucetto Reid (Maurice), Mae Anna Reid, all of Manson, N.C, and Gwen Watkins Henderson, of New Jersey,; six bothers in law, Shalvin Alston, of Henderson, NC, Ricky Watkins of New Jersey, Troy Watkins, Edward Watkins (Bernice) of Oine, NC, Wayne Watkins and Anthony Watkins, both of Warrenton, NC, a very special niece, Pastor Maggie Stinnett, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Public viewing for Mrs. Wyche will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton, North Carolina.
