Mrs. Rebecca Powell Williams, age 95, of Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Monday, March 6, 2023 at her residence. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00pm at Greater Lovely Hill Baptist Church, 404 Embro-Odell Road, Macon, NC 27551. The Reverend Stanley Kearney will officiate and Reverend Preston Williams, Jr., will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Rebecca will lovingly be remembered by her nine children: Leo Williams (Mary) of Sparta, New Jersey, Patricia West (Colby Sr.) of Melfa, Virginia, Mary Williams of the home, Diariece Jones (Omega) of Norlina, North Carolina, Preston Williams, Jr. (Clara) of Norlina, North Carolina, Johnny Williams, Sr. (Robin) of Oine, North Carolina, Cynthia Cheese (Andre’) of Hillard, Ohio, Lorraine Williams of the home, Evelyn Williams, of Raleigh, North Carolina; one Godson, Johnny Gary of Raleigh, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Faulkner and Bertha Williams both of Macon, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Alston of Inez, North Carolina, Lottie Powell of Fort Washington, Maryland; one brother-in-law, William Alston of Inez, North Carolina; a special cousin, Clarence Powell (Mary) of Raleigh, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing of Mrs. Williams will be on Saturday. March 11, 2023 from 12noon until 4:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services. The family will greet friends and relatives from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home.
