I’ve changed my address to Heaven
I’ve crossed the Great Divide.
I know there’s no sorrow or crying,
Because I’ve reached the other side.

Condolences to all of the family. I was very lucky to have met Roosevelt one afternoon a few years ago while he was the Assistant Manager at Walmart in Rocky Mount. He helped me mix the blue color paint that I needed for a project with his team Panthers. We have been friends since that day. He had been purchasing wreaths for his Mom , the lady he dearly loved. And after her passing he has been ordering flowers for her with me. I know they both are in heaven together now. I will really miss him. And yes I'm sure he is in heaven watching over all of us. God Bless you my friend 🙏 H

I was at a loss for words when I heard the news this morning of your passing. I wondered why you didn't have anything smart to say about my AARP group text! You will be truly missed! Strupp and I will carry on the memories of our laughters! Who will be on my side when we talk about family??!! 🤣 You've always had a special place in my heart! You were my sergeant in Bosnia and recommended me for a medal. I missed seeing you at Walmart when you left. I had plans for you, Strupp, and me for Veterans day! We will carry on in your honor! Roosevelt was my coach at Walmart and I have never encountered such a caring and down to earth person. He was so kind. He was the best boss I've ever had in my 20 plus years at Walmart. Gone but will never be forgotten. We here at Walmart have such great and funny memories of him. My condolences to the family. May God strengthen you all in this time of sorrow.

Alston was a wonderful friend, and he will be deeply missed. The memories I carry in my heart will last a lifetime. The last time he visited the family, he planted a flower for me, and every day I look at it, I'm reminded of the kind and thoughtful man he was. Reid and I send our heartfelt condolences and pray that God gives the family strength during this difficult time.
We were Irish twins. Born 364 days apart and every year for the last 57 years on August 20th we were the same age together until the next day August 21st when I officially became one year older. It doesn't seem fair that last month was our last birthday on earth together. My heart is broken in a million pieces but there is comfort in knowing "Love Lives On." I'll always cherish the good and beautiful memories of you! I will always Love you for eternity and a day, your big sister, Min. Joyce Alston
