Want to express my condolences concerning the passing of Ms Veila . She always had a smile and kind words each time I visited her home . I know she will be missed by many people . May the Lord give your family peace and comfort during this difficult time . Love to you all
How sweet it was to be in the presence of Mrs. Veila. She could make you forget about all your worries for a while. I had her as a mentor as I grew up attending Shiloh Baptist Church. Whenever I returned, she was usually there with a smile. My mother Frances and Mrs. Veila were buddies at an early age and talked the last week of the sad news. My mom still remembers and laughs at some of their encounters. My mom will definitely be missing her and expresses her condolences and love for Mrs. Veila. Rest in peace.

Condolences and Love for a Family I have loved since 1973 . Curtis and I use to visit Uncle Lee Jimmy's home and I remember the dim lights, Wood stove being stoked and dinner cooking at a late hour; always welcomed and always felt (home was warm and food smelled delicious, but you know back then we were raised to say 'I am not hungry when food was offered)! . We would sit and laugh at the stories he and Papa Phil Richardson would tell, and the wives would join in for story telling as best they could... Papa Phil could talk!! When Ann would be in hospital here in DURHAM she would call us daily to just chitchat or ask us to bring her a bag of sweets(she loved bubble gum) or a burger to her liking. She had no problem asking for exactly what she wanted and we tried to oblige . I remember when we heard of the accident taking Williams life and we along with Papa Phil all cried. I learned through Mr. Phil that we were all cousins through their Mom and my Grandma Nancy Richardson Silver. I remember Eva as being such a beautiful young lady. I loved Josephine because you had spunk and I admired your strength and Betty was just my good friend that I didn't often see but I always loved seeing and talking/laughing with her, and I remembered she enjoyed collecting Roosters .,I didn't get to personally know all of Mrs. Veila's children but those I met and knew I loved! And then my cousin Byron married her daughter and Beautiful Cierra was born, and I would always see Quinn when i visited my sister Dora and Harvey in Grove Hill. Saying all of this to say, our lives go far far back, we are family and Mrs. Veila's passing reminded me of my mom Sarah Silver, and I cried this week for both. We can't travel right now due to Covid but please know you are surrounded by love, and prayers will keep you afloat these next days. Cherish your Mom tomorrow, and as you kiss her and say your goodbyes for right now, tell her Job well done. Our Moms were cut from a special fabric and they don't make them like that anymore. And, I know Rev Michael will give her the Homegoing deserving of a Family Matriarch and someone as loved and sweet as your Mom. Blessings and love to each of you, Avon Silver-Perry
Children please keep fond memories of your mother and she will always be with you. Let all try and be more like her so we can see her again. Our prayers are with each of you. Look to God for your strength..The Williams family. Roy and Jennifer and children qpkh
