To my family, so sorry to hear of the passing, of my cousin Yarbrough Jr.my prayers are with you, doing this most different time. I remember he would always say that he was my favorite cousin, and then say ask her... you will be truly missed.
My sincere condolences are extended to Shauna and family. I share with you the shock and sorrow of the loss of your loved one. Yarbrough was friendly, God fearing, a devoted family man, community oriented, and an inspiring politician. His desire to help improve the quality of life for all but particularly the disadvantaged and disenfranchised was noteworthy. So long my friend. May you rest in peace.
The people in Warren County, North Carolina owe Yarbrough Williams a great debt of gratitude for his dedication to attaining Civil Rights and Voter equality. He dedicated his life to the cause of voter education and registration, making sure the elderly and disenfranchised were not eliminated from the process. We will miss him, and I am particularly grateful because when I was Chair of the Warren County Board of Elections in that predominantly Black County, it only had two Black elected officials. It was Yarbrough who stood by my side when I dared change the rules, so people could register to vote! We all owe him unfiltered gratitude. Rest well with Our Savior, young warrior. You fought the good fight.
Dear Family, this is a difficult message to send because of the shock. Yarbrough was such a special and loving person. He meant so much to so many and my family and I are truly a part of the many. The question "what will we do without him" resonates continually in our minds and I am sure that it does in the minds of you, his family, and innumerable others. My family and I send our love, thoughts and prayers to you. Our prayer is that God will continue to bless and keep you always and in all ways. Love, Roberta S. Scott and Family

Today we honor and remember a truly remarkable farmer, mentor, and friend. Mr. Williams was the kind of person whose smile greeted you before his words ever did. His presence alone brought warmth, encouragement, and a sense of peace to everyone he encountered.
In the agriculture community, he was more than a farmer — he was an inspiration. He showed us that innovation, creativity, and stewardship of the land come from the heart. I will always cherish his ingenuity, especially the way he transformed an old boat into a thriving garden. It was a reflection of who he was — resourceful, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the land he loved.
We lift Mrs. Williams and the entire family in prayer, asking God to surround you with comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time. May the memories of your husband, father, grandfather, friend, uncle, cousin, associate, and fellow farmer bring you comfort and remind you of the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
Our heartfelt condolences to the Williams family. His impact will continue to grow in the lives he touched, the land he nurtured, and the community that loved him.
