LYDE- Mrs. Gladys Theresa Martin-Lyde a resident of Brunswick, Ga. passed away on January 28, 2026. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11AM at 1321 Albany Street, Brunswick, GA 31521. Mrs. Lyde will lie in state for visitation of family and friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 5 - 7PM. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brunswick Funeral Home โThe House of Dignified Serviceโ, 2700 Albany Street, Brunswick, Ga. 31520. Quinton L. Douglas LFD/Mortician.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Gladys Martin-Lyde Memorial Fund c/o St. Athanasius Episcopal Church.

My deepest condolences to the family.
To the Lyde and Martin family, Gladys passing has left a heaviness on our family, that has been difficult on all of us. She has always been there and shared with us on so many occasions. She loved us and we really loved her. She was family to us and she will be missed. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace and power. Mrs. Gladys was a bundle of joy. Her smile disguised the fight she had behind her warm presence. Listening to the stories of her historic impact on Glynn County made it a double honor that should would support the work of ABG so strongly. She is and will be missed.
