Betty J. Ives, born on May 21, 1942, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Jacqueline and James Johnson, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Friday, March 21, 2025. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many.

Betty’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active and dedicated member of Quitman Church of God, where she devoted much of her time volunteering until her health no longer allowed. She found great joy in serving her church and community, always extending a helping hand to those in need.

Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of countless people. Whether through acts of service or her warm and caring nature, Betty always put others before herself. She was a pillar of love and support for her family and friends, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Betty is survived by her loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

In accordance with her final wishes, Betty was cremated. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
