Obituary For Leon Eugene Palmer
Leon Eugene Palmer, 74, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in Valdosta, Georgia. Gene was born in Lothair, Georgia, on September 6, 1946, to Leon Palmer and Druscilla Edge Palmer.
Gene graduated from Treutlen County Schools. After graduation, Gene joined the United States Air Force and after serving the United States of America, Gene was Honorably Discharged.
Gene was married to the love of his life, Judy Badger Palmer, for more than 50 Years.
Gene found fulfillment in his chosen career path as a Land Surveyor. Upon retirement, he loved spending time with his beloved wife Judy and fishing as much as he could.
Gene was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather!
He is survived by his Wife, Judy; Children, Jerry Palmer, Joyce (Danny), Jody (Kimberly), and Craig (Glenda); Grandchildren, Heather, Tabitha, Bryan, Vicky (Jordan), Kevin (Cecilia), Julie, Elizabeth, Brittany (Drew) and Brooke (Melvin); 9 Great Grandchildren and A Host of other relatives and friends.
A Private-Immediate Family Only Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Crestwood Nursing Home, Valdosta, Georgia

My Dad, as I reflect...oh the memories! We played softball together, worked together, fished together. I know there were many good and not so perfect times, but my mind goes to all of the good times...so many across a lifetime. Will miss you pops!
I greatly enjoyed my time working with Gene in the Land Surveying business. He was great at what he did, could out-work us young guys (by far), and kept us laughing. Great memories here, and our sincere condolences to the family.
