Mr. Michael Anthony McCaskill, affectionately known as Bossman, also known as Boss Hogg, better known as Uncle Boss was born to the late Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth McCaskill of Boston GA and the late Mr. Robert Lee Linton, Sr. of Thomasville GA on July 13, 1969 in Thomasville GA. God called him home on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Michael was a member of Rosedale Missionary Baptist Church, in Boston GA under the leadership of the late Reverend Estelle Arrington historically, which is now pastored by Reverend Randolph Smith, Jr.
Michael graduated from Central High School in 1987 and immediately entered the United States Marine Corps serving his country for four years of active duty. He is a veteran of the wartime effort Desert Storm.
He loved spending time with friends and family and was a protector and benevolent provider by nature. A loving, supportive, albeit tough Dad to his son Tony and a caring, doting, watchful Big Brother to his Babysister Meka. Mr. Michael as Uncle Boss was a stern disciplinarian to his nieces and nephews, both those he adopted into his heart and those born to him by blood during their youth, using only the base in his voice and his colorful language stopping every act of disobedience and disorder in its tracks! In their adulthood they found him to be one of the best of friends and loved joking with him over the memories of how mean they thought he was as children. Often reminding them during those reminiscent moments that he was still their Uncle Boss and not the least bit intimidated by their newfound ages.
Mr. McCaskill was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, and three older brothers: Freddie Lee McCaskill, Jr.; Charles McCaskill and Kenneth Alvin McCaskill. He leaves to cherish his memories, One loving and devoted Son, Tony Wyche and daughter in love, Traci of Columbia SC; Seven grandchildren: Javahn "TI" Wyche, Emani "Mani" McNeil, Josiah "JoJo" Wyche, Vincent "Ej" McNeil Jr., Jeremiah Zapf, Janiyah “Niyah" Wyche, Jayden Wyche; Five Brothers: Larry James McCaskill, Boston GA; Wesley “Lil’Man” McCaskill (Carolyn), Thomasville GA; Robert Lee “Fugi” Linton (Mamie), Thomasville GA, Samuel Lee McCaskill (Young “Choi”), Green Cove Springs FL; and Charles “Bootsy” Linton (Shirley), Ray City GA; Nine Sisters: Jewel Lavon McKibbins, Hampton GA; Brenda Holman (Andrew), Coolidge, GA, Annie “Moe” Smallwood (Floyd), Thomasville GA, Gwendolyn Rene Choice, Jacksonville NC; Yvettia LaNice “Shuggah” McCaskill, Ruby Mae “Fox” Brooks, Boston GA; Vivian “Sticks” Linton, Thomasville GA, Tracy Broome (John), Anniston AL, and Jemeka Sharone “Meka” McCaskill, Thomasville GA; Special Nieces: Ayesha “AJ” Scott Hollis, Jonesboro GA, Yolanda “Landa” Sims (Joseph) Montgomery AL, Two Uncles; Mr. JP Hill (Shirley), Thomasville GA, Mr. Paul Linton, Redding PA; Three Aunts: Linda Spear, Coolidge GA, Pastor Madine Camon, Ray City GA, Mary Maggielene Spencer, Boston, GA; Two Great Aunts: Sylvia Ward Hampton, Lake Wales FL and Connie Mae Barrs, Jacksonville FL; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins.
