Obituary For Ruby "Sue" Williams

Ms. Ruby Williams, affectionately known as "Sue,". She was born on April 24, 1946, and peacefully departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born to the late Maeco Williams and Ruth Walker Lindsey. She was the widow of George Warrior. Ruby was a faithful servant of Jehovah, and her faith guided the way she lived her life and cared for others.

Ruby will always be remembered as a sweet and compassionate woman with a genuine love for people. She never missed an opportunity to offer encouraging words, a warm smile, or a helping hand. Her kindness, affection, understanding, and unwavering generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was truly a phenomenal woman whose legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Ruby devoted her life to caring for others as a private nurse, serving with compassion and dedication. She was a mother who nurtured her three children with unconditional love while instilling in them the values of integrity, compassion, and respect for others.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children: Gerald Stevie Williams (Linda), India Warrior-Grant (Lewis), and the cherished memory of her daughter, Tracey Warrior-Bonner, who preceded her in death. She also leaves two grandsons, Travon Warrior (Nicole) and MarKieth McCloud; three great-granddaughters, Kinsley Warrior, Tahlia Warrior, and Chloe Warrior; her siblings, James Powell Sr, James Lindsey, Deloris Lindsey, Bobby Manning, and Eric Williams; along with a host of extended siblings whom she loved dearly.

Ruby also leaves two devoted nephews, James Powell Jr(Linda) and Anthony Powell (Gina); three devoted nieces, Jennie Powell-Davis (Ken), Tonya Fulton-Milton and Kimberly Lindsey-Brand; a special cousin, Lula Demps; a special family friend, Gwendolyn Joiner; and a host of other beloved relatives and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and miss her deeply.

Though Ruby has departed this earthly life, her legacy of faith, kindness, compassion, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her gentle spirit and beautiful example will never be forgotten.

Public Viewing: Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 12:00-6:00PM

Graveside Service for Ms. Ruby “Sue” Williams will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the North End Cemetery, Quitman, Georgia.
