Ms. Sandra Denise “Tank” McClain Jones was born on June 12, 1974, in Brooks County, Georgia, to the late James W. “Po Boy” McClain and Mrs. Aretha H. McClain. A native of Quitman, Sandra began her early education in the Brooks County School System and later continued her studies at Earl C. Clements Job Corps in Morganfield, Kentucky, where she completed her high school education at Pacific High School.
After returning home for a brief time, Sandra relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she made her home for many years. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Maxwell. A woman of strong work ethic and dedication, at the time of her passing, Sandra was still faithfully employed at Frito-Lay, where she has worked for 23 years, and part-time at Orlando Health and Rehab, where she was cherished by her co-workers.
Affectionately known as “Tank” to family and friends, Sandra had a heart full of compassion, humor, and love. She embraced her role as a nurturer, raising her goddaughter as her own and building unbreakable bonds with many in her family.
On July 11, 2025, Sandra gained her heavenly wings and entered eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory:
