Mr. Willie Hector Thomas was called to his eternal home Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Langdale Hospice House of Valdosta, Ga. Willie was born August 24, 1931 to the late Sylvester and Martha McCoy Thomas of Brooks County, Georgia. Willie was the fifth of nine children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Exie Mae Thomas. Six siblings, (William, Gloria, Everlena, Fred, Leonard and Sylvester Ostein)

Willie received his education through Brooks County System. For better employment opportunities, he moved to Miami, Florida. In February of 1954, he landed employed with Wingerter Laboratories, INC Professional Engineering and Testing. He retired from the company after fifty-years of loyal service. Willie was united in Holy Matrimony to Exie Mae Griffin Thomas on August 18, 1959 and she too relocated to Miami, Florida.

At a young age, he joined Friendship A.M.E Church of Dixie, Georgia. Upon relocating to Miami, he moved his membership to St. James A.M.E Church where he served faithfully until he relocated to Barney, Ga and reconnected to Friendship A.M.E Church where he served faithfully as an usher until his health declined.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Two sister: Vivian Minor of Atlanta, Ga and Flora Roberts of Dixie, GA. Brother-In-Law: Burton Griffin of Barney, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, great, great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Public Viewing: Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel.

Celebration of Life Service for Willie Hector Thomas will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel, Quitman, GA. Burial: Thomas Family Cemetery, Dixie, GA.
