Funeral service will be held 2PM Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Bushelon Funeral Chapel with burial at Alabama National Cemetery at 9:30AM Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Montevallo, AL.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2020 11AM-2PM at Bushelon (800 14th St. SW).

Beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in New York City after a brief illness. Ronald was thoughtful, kind, fun loving and generous. He was employed with the United States Postal Service in New York City for over 55 years and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Taylor Jones and sister in law, Belinda Ellis Jones. Ronald leaves behind to cherish fond memories, his mother, Mrs. Thelma E. Jones, son, Richard D. "Abdul" Jones, Tampa, FL; grandson, Richard D. Jones, II, two great grandchildren, Aaliyah and Anthony, Land O Lakes, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Marcia Jones (James) Ferguson and Mrs. Simone Jones-Underwood, Birmingham, AL; one brother, Mr. Robert E. Jones and nephew, Mr. Tamar E. Jones, North Hollywood, CA; first cousins, Sarah Ann McBride and Benjamin (Alice) Jones, Jr, Birmingham, AL, Ellis Kyles, Jr., Upland, CA, and a host of friends.
