Gloria’s Life Summary
“The passing of our beloved Gloria has brought us together today. We gather not to mourn, but to celebrate and rejoice because Gloria has lived a life that speaks for her”.
Gloria Ann Robinson Shannon Affectionally known as Mother, Elder, or just simply Shannon to many, was born on January 11, 1957 in Belle Glade, Florida to the late J.T Robinson and Georgia Mae Richardson.
Gloria was raised in Belle Glade, Florida and was educated in the Palm Beach County School Teacher. She graduated from Glade Central Community High School in 1975. Gloria was later employed by the Palm Beach County School District, where she worked as a Paraprofessional for over 20 years. She went on to receive a B.S. Degree in Organization Management. She then went on to receive her Teaching Certification and after which she started working as have been teaching children with Autism for the last 14 years. Gloria worked to help students with autism in the Glade Region for the last 35 years.
Gloria was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost March 5, 1987 at a revival, under the leadership Elder Washington of the Mt Zion Apostolic Church in West Palm Beach.
She later joined Glorious Community Holiness Church in Belle Glade, after five years of service she became a Missionary and a Junior Mother. Two year later she started working and traveling Bishop Granville and his wife and he later ordain a Licensed Evangelist.
Thirteen years later she transitioned to New Harvest Church where she served as an alter worker, usher, praise team and armor bearer for guest speakers, Gloria serve there for12 years. Gloria was currently serving as an Elder at the City of The Lord Church and she also serve on the praise team. She was a firm believer in the almighty God exemplifying unconditional love and applied the true meaning of giving through knowing the word of God.
Gloria’s Hobbies includes shopping, traveling, buying wigs, praise & worshiper, prayer meeting, and shut-ins.
On August 27, 2021 Gloria Ann Shannon, transition into that place of awakening to the presence of Our Lord and Savior. She is proceeded in death by her Mother-Georgia M. Richardson, Brothers- David Richardson, James Askins, and Jerome Robinson and her son Karri Shannon Sr.
Gloria leaves to rejoice and cherish her memories, her loving children: Jerome (Julene), Chavayea, and Xavier Shannon; one daughter: Jernae (Michael) Thomas; 14 grandchildren; Jada Shannon, Bianca Shannon, Karri Shannon Jr., Key’Shawn Shannon, Joshua Shannon, Key’veya Shannon, Xavier Shannon Jr, Jer’Niyah Shannon, Jayden Shannon, Chavayea Shannon Jr, Mason Thomas, Jared Shannon, She’Ari Shannon-Adams, and Jordyn Shannon Sibling: two sister, Betty Williams and Jeanette Robinson; two brothers: Bernard Robin and Clinton Panton; and one Aunt Rosetta (John) Lumpkins

A host of nieces, and nephews, cousin, relatives, friends, and co-worker. She will be missed but her memories will live on in our hearts.

Mother Shannon was an amazing Mother and Woman of God. She had such beautiful and sweet spirit. The love and encouragement that she showed/provided others will live on. My condolences to the family. May God continue to comfort, strengthen and give you peace during this difficult time. Be encouraged. She's having a Glorious time in heaven. I remember how she use to shout (catch the holy ghost) in church. She knew how to get down for Jesus. LOL. She was one of a kind. Shout on, Mother Shannon, shout on.
