Juanita's Life Legacy Juanita Anderson, known as “Nita” or “Pink” by her family and close friends, was born on July 01, 1959, to George and the late Curlie Mae Anderson. She was the third born of six siblings. Juanita was a strong, firm believer who truly loved the Lord! She dedicated her time worshiping Him. Juanita had a heart of GOLD and a genuine care for all mankind. She was known as a “Giver,” who would give whatever she had to anyone in need. A true humanitarian at heart! As a child, Juanita had a God-given purpose for helping others, leading her to become a teacher. She attended grade school at Lake Harbor Elementary School. She continued her educational years at Lake Shore Middle and Glades Central Community High School, graduating 1977. Juanita furthered her education at Bethune Cookman College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. After pursing her childhood dream, Juanita returned back to her home schools (Lake Shore Middle School and Glades Central Community High School), in 1981 and was hired by the Palm Beach County School District as an English teacher, her first and only job. She spent over 40 years of teaching and serving in the Glades Region. Her career spread between Lake Shore Middle and Glades Central Community High Schools. In May 2022, her declining health led to retirement. Juanita gained many accolades throughout her lifetime. She was the proudest serving at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Ritta Village from childhood to adulthood, where she joined as a child, under the leadership of the late Rev. Floyd Keys and Dr. Eddie James Walker, whom she admired dearly. She sang in the Young Adult and Adult Choirs. She also served as the youth Director, Sunday & Vacation Bible School teacher. She attended the Christian Workers every summer, and the Ministers and Congress quarterly. Juanita also served on the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Ministers. Juanita was a member of Kissimmee Valley Missionary Baptist Association Women Ministries. She served as an Assistant Secretary, beside Sister Bessie Gregory and President Wilehelmenia Jacobs, known as the "Young Golden Girls”.
